Hambidge Art Auction + Masquerade Bash

The Works -- Upper Westside Atlanta

Featuring work by: Eley, Various Artists

Widely recognized as one of Atlanta’s most anticipated art events every year, the 2019 Art Auction + Masquerade Bash will be like nothing the Hambidge Center has done before. Along with artwork from 200 of the finest emerging and established artists across the region, guests are invited to explore and create as they enjoy unique performances, music, installations, and immersive art experiences that tap into the spirit of the season - all while supporting a great cause!

Celebrating an evening of creative disguises, Hambidge is collaborating with Eley, a commercial photographer specializing in portraiture, on an interactive photo project. Eley will invite costumed guests to pose in ever-changing tableaux of characters to create a series of surreal portraits. The subsequent online exhibition will open on November 5, and is presented by Hambidge and ACP.

For more than 80 years, the Hambidge Center has nurtured exceptional creative talents within the arts and sciences at their 600-acre creative sanctuary in the north Georgia mountains. Their creative residency program accommodates 9 residents at a time - each supplied with private accommodations, studio space, and chef-prepared dinners - and provides the space and time needed for visionary works to be conceived and developed.
